T2020-37-DEVELOPMENT OF BOREHOLE FIELDS FOR WATER SUPPLY TO THE PROJECT AREAS OF NGWEBINI, SIKHONKWANE AND OGAZINI IN THE NQUTHU LOCAL MUNICIPALITY

The uMzinyathi District Municipality hereby invites suitable, qualified and professional service providers for the above mentioned tender.

The Established Contractor shall be registered in CIDB contractor grading designation 6CE or higher.

A compulsory briefing session and site visit will be held onMonday 16 March 2020 at 10H00, starting with a briefing at the Nquthu Local Municipality offices and then a Site Visit to the project area in Ngwebini.

Tender documents will be available as from Friday 13 March 2020 at UMzinyathi District Municipality Offices upon payment of non-refundable fee of R 500.00 is payable for each document, only cash will be accepted.

Failure to obtain a Bid Specification Document and non-attendance of the site inspection will result in the immediate disqualification of your bid. Bids may only be submitted on the bid specification documentation provided by the Municipality.

Locally produced or manufactured goods, meeting the stipulated minimum thresholds for local production and content for all Designated Sectors in the Declaration Certificate (MBD6.2) will be considered

The completed tender documents complying with all conditions of the tender must be enclosed in a sealed envelope and clearly marked : T2020-37-DEVELOPMENT OF BOREHOLE FIELDS FOR WATER SUPPLY TO THE PROJECT AREAS OF NGWEBINI, SIKHONKWANE AND OGAZINI IN THE NQUTHU LOCAL MUNICIPALITYmust be deposited in the official tender box located at the reception area, Princess Magogo Building, 39 Victoria Street, Dundee 3000, no later than closing date 14 April 2020, Tuesday, at 12h00 which will be followed by a public opening. Late bids or bids received by way of post, facsimile or e-mail will, under no circumstances be considered.

Bids will be evaluated and adjudicated in terms of UMzinyathi District Municipality’s Supply Chain Management Policy in two stages. First stage of the evaluation is functionality and second stage being the 80/20 preference point system. Only bidders who score 60 points on functionality criteria will qualify for the second stage of evaluation.

Umzinyathi District Municipality is not obliged to appoint the lowest bid and further reserves the right not to proceed herein and further reserves the right not to accept any bid or part thereof.
