SALARY:1st Notch of Post Level D4 (R372 765.22 to R 419 608.73) per annum

(Fringe Benefits: Include inter alia, 13th cheque, pension fund, medical aid scheme, housing allowances).

REQUIREMENTS: The incumbent must have a Degree in Financial Accounting (NQF L6) or equivalent qualification. Minimum competency level(MFMP) Knowledge of Local Government Acts and broader financial regulations, Knowledge of mSCOA will be an added advantage. have 3-4 years’ experience in the finance field. Computer literacy, fluency in IsiZulu and English and a Driver’s license (code EB) are some of the requirements.


ØAssisting the Asset Manager to organise, prepare, compile and monitor a fixed asset register in line with the Budget and IDP as per the MFMA and the Municipal Systems Act.

ØAssisting the Manager Assets in the preparation and compilation of the annual financial statements.

ØCompiling the necessary Bank Investments and other reconciliations in order to ensure reporting requirements are adhered to in accordance with laid down accounting procedures and practices.

ØReconciling Loan Register with the subsidiary ledger and submit to the Manager Assets.

ØRequesting amortization schedules for all the loans

ØMonitoring and report other capital reports requested in order to ensure that all projects related expenditure are accounted for.

ØDirecting and controlling the key performance indicators and outcomes of the personnel within the Asset unit.

·Co-ordinating and controlling tasks /activities associated with controlling personnel performance, productivity and discipline.
